Recent Status: Is common in the Sandlings and Breckland.
Life Style: The moth is single brooded flying from June till early September and comes to light. The larvae feed from a silken tubular retreat on the mosses Dicranum scoparium, Hypnum lacunosum and Syntrichia ruralis ssp. ruraliformis. They pupate in a cocoon in the larval habitation.
Identification: This small gelechiid is easily recognised by the dark shiny wings with broad silver marks and pale palps. The number and extent of the silver marks varies. More Info
